AIR LINER CRASHES
ONE OF WORLD’S LARGEST SIX PERSONS PERISH P? OTHERS ESCAPE (Eloc. Tub Copyright—United Press Asm.) (Received July 13, 11 n.m.) AMSTERDAM, July 14. Seven British passengers are believed to have been aboard a Dutch air liner which crashed at the aerodrome here. Two puseciigcis and four of the crow were killed, and 13 passengers and one of the crew saved. The plane took off for Malmoe aerodrome. developed ■ engine trouble, returned, crashed, and caught fire. The six dead were trapped and 'burned to death. The door of the cabin burst open at the moment of the crash. Two women were among those saved. The door of the crew’s cockpit jammed. Both dead passengers are British, the names being Hobson mid Newman:. A Swedish survivor says: f'The wing collided witli -a dyke. I and the. others, including four Englishmen, managed to jump as the fire broke out in the forepart.” The machine was a four-engined Fokke.r, one of the biggest passenger planes in the world.
