LAST MONTH’S RETURNS INCREASE IN , EXPORTS (Received Julv 15, noon) LONDON, July 14. The Board oi Trade returns for June show that imports totalled £57,826,000; exports, £32,914.000; and re-exports, £5.221,000. The principal increases, compared with June ot* last year, were: In imports, grain and flour, £509,000; iron ore and scrap, £lol,€ooj seeds, nuts, etc., £398,C00; non-ferrous metals and manufactures, £162,000; oils, fats, resins, and manufactures, £216,000. In exports, wool and raw waste, £177,000; seeds and nuts, £132,0C0; non-ferrous metals and manufactures, £267,000; machinery, £357,000. Principal decreases were: In imports, meat, £664,000; dairy produce, £437,OCO; beverages, £450,C00; tobacco, £603,000; wood and timber, £1,033,C00; rubber, £305,000; raw cotton, £130,000. In exports, coal, £323,000; cotton yarns and manufactures, £174,000; woollen and worsted yarns and manufactures, £108, 000; chemical and dyes, £221,000. The total exports for the month showed an increase of nearly £2,000,000 compared with June, 1934, but imports showed a decrease of over £3,000,000.
