DOMINION CONFERENCE ~~ - ; GISBORNE DELEGATE Mr. J. H. Sunderland, secretary of the Kia Ora Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, was appointed by directors of the district factories on Saturday afternoon to represent the Gisborne, Coast, and AVairoa districts at the Dominion dairy conference in Wellington in September.
Timing the ward conference earlier in i.he day, Mr. A. J. Murdoch, AI.P., hairman of the Dairy Board, explained that Gisborne was entitled Ho one delegate. For the first- time, Gisborne, the Coast and AVairoa factories were included in the northern ward. The appointment ol delegates to the Dominion conference was on a tonnage basis, and while the total output from the Gisornc, AVairoa and Coast factories hardly justified them in appointing one delegate to represent them, the board ! ad agreed to overlook this and admit a delegate.
In appointing the delegate to the Dominion conference, the companies were permitted to vote according to the size of their output.
