Rail’d, M.He.. of the Christ - church Magnetic Observatory, is to leave Wellington on the Maui Pomace next Tuesday for Apia, where he will take up temporary duties at the observatory. The idireftor of .the Apia Observatory, Mr J. Wadsworth, has been :u the tropics for some years, and is now due for furlough.
