WILL SOON BE NORMAL DOCTOR’S HOPE NEW YORK, June 14. In another 60 days, Dr. A. 11. Dafoe announced yesterday, the Dionne quintuplets will be the equals of any normal babv their age. “j feel that the babies will bo normal by August-—remember, they were seven months babies and they bad to catch up,” Dr. Dafoe said, stopping over in New York cn route back from Atlantic City ami the convention of the Canadian and American Associations to Ontario and liis charges. ‘‘Jn some ways,” he added, “they are more advanced than ordinary babies—they are more intelligent.” Dr. Dafoe asserted that it was the hope of the guardians of the babies that in “several years,” the Dionne family could be united under one roof. “It is our aim,” he said, “to work all together and let all the Dionne children share together. What we want to do now is protect the babies until protection is no longer needed. The province's guardianship will not be dissolved. but we hope all the members of the Dionne family will be under one roof in several years.” Some day, ho added, it, was the hope of the guardians to have a private school for the quints, and later a school for the 10 Dionne children. The quintuplets already recognise their mother and father, the doctor said.
