VERY SMALL LEAK
MISHAP TO PAKEIIA (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Pakeha arrived at 1.30 p.m. after a trip of 26$ hours from Port Chalmers, and entered the floating dock. Her leak is a very small one, and the repairs consist of fixing a small patch oyer the hole. She should be out of dock to-morrow. She will leave at 5 p.m. on Tuesday for Lyttelton, Bluff, New Plymouth, and Auckland, leaving there on July 28. OAMARU NOT TO BLAME (Per Press Association.) OAMARU, this day. Interviewed regarding the steamer jfoktfha 'ft leak, the harbormaster, Captain Cox, who piloted the vessel into Oamaru, said there was no evidence of Iter touching bottom here. The statement that: she touched at Oainrtm washed; justified. Jt is evident that it was not known definitely when tho leak was caused.
