CANDIDATE RETIRES (Por Press Association.) PAHIATUA, this day. Mr. G. Holmes Miller, of Ngaluri. who several weeks ago announced himself as an Independent candidate for the Pahiatna. seat, lias, now withdrawn from the field, leaving Sir Alfred Ransom and Mr. R. A. Gower (Labor) to contest the seat. Mr. Miller stales that his withdrawal was influenced by (lie possibility of bis efforts assisting lo return the present member, and also feared that bis own political views were such Unit lie bad little faith in them being accepted in a. somewhat conservative constituency,
