FOR SENTENCE
THREE MEN COMMITTED RUATORIA BURGLARIES SHOPKEEPER’S LOSSES {Special.to tho Herald.) RUATORIA, this day. The sequel to an early morning chase in Ruatoria earlier in tlie week occurred on Thursday afternoon,/when three young men, Rowland St. Clair Owen, Samuel Rogers, and Hutere Pahau, appeared before Justices of the Peace, and were committed for - sentence at the Supreme Court at Gisborne on charges of ..breaking and entering the Hash Stores, Ruatoria, on several occasions. Before Messrs. E. Jackson and I. G. S, Dalguirns, J.P.s, all three of the accused pleaded guilty to breaking and entering the shop premises of Mr. Hayden, trading as Rash Stores, on July 10. Owen and Pahau also pleaded guilty to breaking into the premises cn June 1, and stealing £3 19s in cash and articles to the value of £7 13s, while Pahau admitted a lone-handed burglary on July 2, and the theft of £2 on that occasion. Formal pleas of guilty were entered, and oiv all charges the ’accused were committed for sentence at Gisborne,
