CORPS OF EX-SOLDIERS
DUTY OF COMMISSIONAIRES Following the successful organisation in Wellington of the New Zealand C orps of Cominisicmaires, a body of ex-sol-diers whose duty it is to patrol the entrances to shops and hotels, u branch ot tlie. organisation lias been formed in Auckland, under the chairmanship of Sir George Richardson. Captain B. Houston, who served throughout tlie Great War, and was active in the .formation of the Auckland branch, was oil duty outside a city hotel on Thursday. Only ex-servieemen of exemplary character "will be admitted to the corps. A plain blue tunic and trousers, with a peaked cap. has been registered as the official uniform, and military medals will be worn bv members.
