DAIRY PRODUCE ARRIVALS ESTIMATE FOR THREE MONTHS The market for New Zealand butter and cheese in London continues to be slow, with butter,up to 90s and cheese to 48s fid. In a review of the markets, A. IL Turnbull and Company give the estimated arrivals of New Zealand produce in the United Kingdom from February to March, compared with actual arrivals in previous seasons, as follows: —

The review states: —“The stock position in London has continued to improve and the stocks of all butters for the month ended February 9 show a reduction of 3000. tons, whereas for the same period last year, there was an increase of 3000 tons. It is very satisfactory to be able to report, this continued decrease of stocks in tho United Kingdom on a rising market and during the months when it is customary for stocks to accumulate. “The future depends very greatly on whether America will continue to operate. Another factor which has firmed the market has been the continued decrease in New Zealand production. It would not surprise us if the February and Alarch gradings hhow a decrease of from 15 per cent to 20 per cent, on last year’s figures. Alessrs Dalgoty and Company have received the following advice from London, dated February 14:—“Butter. —Danish, 96s f.0.b.; New Zealand, finest 89s to 90s; Australian, finest 88s to 89s. Cheese.—The market is slow. Quotations: New Zealand, white 4Ss to 48s 6d, colored 48s to 48s 6d. ”
