McGlusky in Parliament
MR. A. G. Hales’ well-known cliaracter, McGlusky, enters the pastures of Parliamentary endeavor in “McGlusky, ALP, ’ ’ The crusade for political reform outlined by McGlusky gives Mr. Hales the chance to put forward a series of ideas that are topical as well as practical—at least that is how convincingly McGlusky makes it all seem. Ho has other difficulties, both in and out of Parliament, and in the last chapter the author says that he hopes to go on writing more and more about this great character of his. Mr. Hales’ writing is fired with that very enthusiasm lie himself imparts into the being of McGlusky, with the result the story goes with a swing.
