CRICKET
SOUTH) AFRICAN TEAM
TOUR, OP, ENGLAND
(Received Jan. 4, 3.30 p.m.) CAPETOWN, Jan. 3. The cricket, team to four England will be as follows:—H. F. Wade, captain, Cameron, vice-captain, Siedle, Mitchell, A. D. Nourse, jun., Dalton, P ,1 Williams, reserve wicketkeeper, R. J. Crisp, Bell, Vincent, Viljoen, Balaskas, D. Tomlinsoii, A. B. Langton, and K. A. Rowan. There is universal satisfaction at the selection of the team, though surprise is expressed at the inclusion of the iast bowler, Bell, who has not taken part in first-class cricket since his return from the Australian tour. It is understood that Hell's inclusion is actuated by the adoption of the amended lbw rule because with his dangerous in-swinger he ought, to prove, a, most, tlirustful bowler.
In the team are eight first-class batsmen, eight bowlers, including four of the O'Reilly-Grimmett type.
