AMERICA’S HEAVY TOLL (Received January 3, noon.) NEW YORK, Jan. 2. More than 100 deaths are attributed to the observance of the new year and a cold wave sweeping the northern half of the United States. Automobile accidents accounted for more than 60 casualties.
