FIRST CATCH OF SEASON

The first catch of big game fish for the season was brought in by Mr A. Fiotcher’s launch Naomi, which has returned to Taurangn from the Mayor island deep-sea fishing grounds. The catch comprised throe makes and one reremai shark, caught by the following:—Air Ross Hardy, make, 3801 b.; Air Clark Munro (Ccvlon). make, 194 lb.; Mr Bert Hardy, inako, 3601 b.; Air McMaster, reremai shark, 4601 b. Each of the makes gave a thrilling Display and fought for periods varying from an hour to an hour and a-lialf, f all leaping high out of the water repeatedly.
