POVERTY BAY’S NOMINATION
Nominations for the position of manager of the New Zealand Rugby team which is to tour Great Britain this year, and for two delegates tV attend the Imperial Rugby confercri<% in England, will close on January 15. J
The latest nomination to hand, is from the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, who have nominated Mr T. A. Fletcher, of Wellington, and he has replied accepting nomination as manager or as one of the delegates.
• Mr Fletcher has rendered valuable service to the game of Rugby football. For the past. 12 years lie has occupied a continuous seat on the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union, only Mr'S. S. Dean and Mr A. 0. Ivitto having had longer service, 'n addition Air Fletcher for many years has been an active referee, and for six years was president of the Wellington Rugby Referees’ Association. He has been very helpful, too, in fostering the game in the schools of lie Dominion, as the two handbooks on the game issued by the New Zealand Rugby Union were both edited by Mr Fletcher.
