NOTTS MEMBERS’ PROTEST

The Notts Cricket Club committee will meet on January 16. , , Mr. Whitby stated: “There is wholesale dissatisfaction among club members at receiving the first information via Australia.” . . . , Mr. Whitby, interviewed, said that the members'of Notts county were up in arms at having news from Australia regarding an apology of which they knew nothing. ' “My object is not to damage the chili, he said, * but to picvent further resignations. It is reported that more than 100 have resigned, and public opinion in Nottingham is solidly behind Larwood and Voce. Their living is at stake, and they cannot speak. Someone must protect them.”
