ARCHBISHOP REDWOOD
SERIOUS }LLB[ESS leg amputated (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Archbishop Redwood Is seriously ill in Lewisham Hospital, where this rimming it was necessary to pcvform a majof operation. His right leg was amputated above the knee, following indications of gangrene, which had troubled him for some weeks. It was only, as a last" hope, that his medical advisers recommended amputation. It was reported this evening that His Grace was as well as could be expected in the circumstances.
