To Rapunga won the Tasman race, having crossed the official finishing Inn 1 at 3 p.m. yesterday. Eighteen days out from Auckland, le Rapunga passed through Port- Phillip heads at 7-40 a.m. on the last stage oi the race.

Captain Dibbern went about and came up on the right side. “Better to he sure than sorry,” he said.
Captain Dibbern's first inquiry was for the Ngataki, to whom Te Rapunga had to make an allowance of 17 hours. He said that the voyage was uneventful, but the crew were glad that it was over. Since the storm at the beginning of the race, the weather had been good for sailing.
