RETIRED FROM DUTY
AUDIENCE AT THE PALACE

Kec. 10 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 20. The King and Queen at a special audience ut Buckingnain Palace on Saturday, said good-bye to Superintendent William Cole, the detective who has been responsible for the personal safety of the King at all times in the last 11 years. The King invested him with the badge of Member of the Victorian Order.
Superintendent Cole is succeeded by Inspector Green, who for several years has been police officer to the Queen.
