SUCCESSFUL MEETING
FINE WEATHER PREVAILS

Fine weather prevailed for the ltuakituri sports yesterday, but the rain which threatened during the early part of the day kept many people away, and the crowd in. attendance was below the average. However, the meeting was a successful one, with competition keen in all events.
The main trophy winners were: — Maiden Jump: Hata Te Poki. Trial Jump: Stanley Jones. Hunters’ Jump: Dudley Evans’ Tuakana. Ladies’ Open Jump: Dudley Evans’ Tuakana. Wire Jump: Dudley Evans’ Tuakana. Te Rcinga Cup, athletic events: M. Hutchinson and D. Wilson, equal. Te Rcinga Cup, horse events: Hata Te Pohi and K. Evans, equal. Te lieinga Sports Cup : Miss Ray Wright. Special Cup : D. Evans’ Tuakana.
