BRISBANE RIVER BRIDGE
ERECTION TO BEGIN SOON
Tenders for the Kangaroo Point Bridge, at Brisbane, over the Brisbane River, which, it is estimated, will cost £1,600,000, will be called about January 23. The Premier of Queensland, Mr Forgan Smith, said recently that the Government intended to push on with the work in the new year. The Prime Minister, Mr Lyons, had indicated that it was one which the Commonwealth Government thought should be first .proceeded with in connection with the Federal plan for assisting the States in re-employment.
