UNUSUAL CHARGE

SUSPECT ARRESTED

WELLINGTON, this day. Having watched a man loitering about Te Aro baths, and having satisfied himself that the man was intent upon thieving from the dressing boxes, Constable Webby, during the hours off duty, arrested William George Hart on the unusual charge of being a rogue and vagabond, in that, being a suspected person, he did frequent Te Aro baths with felonious intent.

The magistrate, Mr. W. F. Stillwell, considered tho case clearly proved, and imposed a sentence of one month’s gaol.
