The Trades Union Congress and Labor national executive have jointly issued a statement, that while appreciating the natural outraged feelings of the Soviet, due to ths assassination of M. Kirov, they are profoundly shocked and alarmed by the subsequent reprisals in the form of widespread summary executions, and express the opinion that all those arrested - should have public trials and opportunities for legal defence. They have asked the Soviet Ambassador to receive a deputation on the subject. The Daily Express’ Warsaw correspondent says an official announcement from a Moscow radio states that M. Zinaviev and M. Kamenev were to blame for M. Kirov’s murder. M. Stalin summoned both to the Kremlin, and when they left the Ogpu placed them under arrest.
