TRAVELS IN BRITAIN A INCREASING CONFIDENCE (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. After an extended trip abroad, Sir Janies Grose, general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, returned by the Rangitata. He was accompanied by his daughte’r, Miss Grose. His son, Mr. El. R. Grose, who travelled to England with his father, remained at Cambridge University, whence lie has taken up his studies in chemical research. Sir James said he did not feel inclined to comment at length on affairs in England, although it appeared that conditions were steadily improving, and that there had been a marked increase m public confidence. During his tour, Sir James visited various parts of England, Scotland, and M ales, in addition to visiting the Channel Islands.
