67 DAYS AT SEA
COLLIER’S LONG VOYAGE LONDON TO SYDNEY (Received Dec. 19, noon) SYDNEY, Dec. 19. The collier Munmorah arrived at Sydney 67 days out from London on a nonstop run. Her crew, mainly Australians and New Zealanders, had lived for weeks on salt pork and tinned food, and had long ago run out of cigarettes and tobacco. The ship had no wireless, and the crew’s first questions were: “Who won the air race? What won the Melbourne Cup?” The Munmorah is of 1273 tens, and will be -employed in the coastal trade.
