CONTINUED SECRECY
GERMAN AIR STRENGTH CONVERTIBLE MACHTNES LONDON, Dec. .17. The editor of Jane’s World Aircraft says that he is unable to give much information about the latest German planes’ motors, as the makers have supplied information as to only well-known commercial types. He added: “Whatever truth there may be in the stories that Germany is building vast quantities of high speed bombers and fighters, it must be admitted that German'commercial machines and mail carriers will require little modification to turn them into war machines. The whole German air transport is now iu the hands ol Lufthansa, which is under closer Government control than over.” The writer also notes that the war machine builders are offering foreign countries new types which may be improvements on anything used in their own country. English firms hgve sold abroad machines faster than have been sold at home, because the former are free from Air Ministry specifications.
