BRITAIN AND INDIA (British Official Wireless.) llec. 10 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 14| Answering a House of Commons question regarding the negotiations for anj Anglo-Indian trade agreement-, Mr. Walter Runciman said that the main dimi culties had been surmounted, and there was every reason to hope that an agreement would be settled at an early date., 'Regarding its scope, Mr. Runcimanj said 'it did not deal with the actual rates of duty on particular commodities,( but laid down a principle to be followed in fixing Indian protective duties on United Kingdom goods, not only textiles, but also other goods subject to protective duties.
