BUTTERFAT PAYMENTS AVAILABLE EARLIER Following the usual custom, dairy companies operating in tho Gisborne district are making their December payments earlier than usual in order to help their suppliers in transacting their Christmas business.

The Kia Ora Co-operative Dairy Company’s cheques were posted today. Payments are based on 7d. per lb. of butterfat supplied' during November, and the total disbursement will be approximately £15,000. This is about £I2OO short of the Christmas pay-out last year, when the payment were'based on Bd. per lb. The Okitu Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, has arranged to make its cheques available early next week. Payment will be at the rate of Bd. per lb., or the same figure as 12 months ago. The Tauranga Co-operative Dairy Association’s payments next Thursday will be at the rate of 7d. per lb,
