ADVENTUROUS TRIP
VISIT TO CAMPBELL IS. SHEEP TO BE SHORN (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Five New Zealanders, with dogs, are about to ret out. on an adventurous voyage, in a specially-constructed 30ft. boat. They purpose to sail to the Campbell Islands, SCO miles south of Stewart Island, and shear 6000 sheep there and' bring the vool hack to New Zealand for sale. This they hope to accomplish! in three months, and, if the trip is sup-' eessful, it, will be undertaken annually.' The voyage will begin in about a week; The party will be led by Mr, If. 1 Brown, of Cheviot. The sheep were left on the island by Messrs, Warren Bros., the former lessees of the island, who returned to New Zealand 2| years ago, and the sheep have now passed into the possession of the mortgagees, from whom Mr. ,Brown lias obtained permission to muster and shear the sheep. They will have a growth ol three seasons’ wool. ••
