OFFER REJECTED

LENA GOLDFIELDS CASE NOTEHOLDERS’ DECISION LONDON, Dec. 12. A' meeting of - the Lena Goldfields noteholders regarding the acceptance of the Soviet offer of payment over an extended term, failed to secure tne requisite three-quarters majority. Tho proportion in favor was 315 votes to 110. The divergence of opinion seemed to chiefly concern the manner of dividing it between noteholders and shareholders. Mr Gucdella Gwynn strongly recommended acceptance of the offer, expressing the opinion that if the present offer was rejected they would not receive a penny from the Soviet, and it was doubtful if the Britis'h Government would again intercede on their behalf. The next stage depends on a meeting of shareholders on December 14.
