PREVENTING THEFT
RAILWAYMEN SEARCHED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In a question in the House yesterday, Mr. W. Nash (Lab., Hutt) asked the Minister of Railways if he was aware that the employees at the railway workshops were met at the gates by two members of"the first division staff for the purpose of searching the bags and clothing of the employees, and if so, would lie make arrangements for the introduction of some other system of prevention of loss of stores.
The Rt, Hon. G. W. Forbes said he would be pleased to confer with the Railways Board on tho matter.
