Tho Rev. J. A. Asher has adviser! members of St. Paul’s Church, Napier, that it is his intention at an early date to resign to the Presbytery of Hawke’s Bay the charge of St. Paul's, which was entrusted to him some 36 years ago. It will bo 44 years this month since Mr Asher was ordained at Gore, and at. the present time no other man in the activo ministry of the Presbyterian Church can look back to so long a period of active service.
