FRUITGROWERS’ VIEW
NO ACTION BY BOARD

A statement that the New Zealand Fruit Control Board has decided to ■take no action in regard to tho Agriculture Amendment (Emergency) Bill was made by Mr Ralph Payuter, chairman of the board, when speaking at a meeting of fruitgrowers in Hastings. “The board has decided to take no action, M said Mr Paynter. “The big three will have wide powers, but it is quite possible that some alterations will be made in the committee stages. Personally, I think fruit growers would bo well advised to leave the matter alone.' ' The'bill has not yet passed the committee stage, and there is every likelihood of alterations being made to it. ’ ’
