WARSHIPS LAST CRUISE

VISIT TO GISBORNE LABURNUM IN JANUARY H.M.§. is at present on her last tj.yjse' in New 'Zealand waters, and will iuwit Gisborne during the second week in January. The warship is a't present in Tauraflga, having left Auckland yesterday, and willremain there until next Monday, Shorvyill then go to - Picton, where she will stay from November-15 to November 21, at Wanganui fr6nr November 22 to November 26, at Nelson from November 27 to December 4, at New Plymouth from December 4 to December 14, at Wellington from ‘December 15 to January 5, at Gisborne from January 7 to January 14. She will return to Auckland on January 15.

This will be the Laburnum’s last cruise in New Zealand waters, for after her return tb Auckland she wiil prepare for her voyage to England, where she will probably be broken up. Her place on the New Zealand station will be taken by the new war sloop Wellington, which was launched at Devonport, England, on March 29. The new war sloop Leith, which is on rou'te front England to New Zealand, via Suez and Australia, to replace 11.M.5. Veronica on tho New Zealand station, was due at Brisbane the day before yesterday. From Brisbane she proceeds to Auckland, where she is due about November 14. The cruisers Dunedin and Diomede, which have been representing New Zealand at the Melbourne Centenary, are to leave Melbourne for New Zealand on Wednesday.
