SHOT DEAD AFTER CHASE
NEW YORK, Oct. 23
Charles (“Pretty Boy”) .Flovd, who succeeded Dillinger as “Public Enemy No. 1,” was killed by police to-day at East Liverpool (Ohio). For weeks, Floyd and his chief licuptenant, Adam Kichetti, had been hunted from Chicago westward through Oklahoma and back again '-'•util last night police encountered Unfair who were the last of the inf jq|.s gang identified with the Kansas City Union Station massacre, last year. Kichetti was. shot and captured, but Floyd managed to escape and commandeered a farmer’s motor car.
lie was overtaken this afternoon, and shot dead.
