Heavy rain is still required on tho hill country, where feed is scarce. Arrangements are well in hand for tonight’s opening dance organised by the local tennis club, and no eflorts are being spared to ensure ibe comfort and enjoyment of patrons. Guy Fawkes Day is still keenly looked forward to by (he younger general ion of Patutahi. and lasl evening, though eondilions were not ideal, pyrotechnic displays on a small scale were to he seen.
