SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES WELLINGTON PRICES PXBM Sheepskins were firm and hides showed a slight advance in some sections at the sole held on SYiday bv the Wellington brokers. Some good lines of halfbred and fine crossbred sheepskins met strong competition, and sold at firm rates. Medium and coarse crossbreds ,also sold well, with a firmer tendency, but no quotable change in prices. Hides again soft! well. Heavy weights'remained firm on previous sale’s rates. An appreciation of id to id on medium and light weights, and id to jd on yearling and kip, was recorded. Calf-skins remained firm. A fair offering of tallow was submitted, prices generally being about Is higher. » GOLD MINING RETURNS The secretary of the Goldfields Dredging Company, Limited, reports that the return for the week ended November 2 was 350 z. 3dwt. for 87 hours’ dredging.
