HEAD STRIKES ROCK
RESCUERS ’ DIFFICULTIES

CHRISTCHURCH, this day,
Wilfred Burnett Myhrc, 27, a member of the Christchurch Ski Club, struck a rock through falling in a soft patch of snow while skiing on Temple Basin. Arthur’s Pass, yesterday. Ho suffered slight concussion,, head injuries, and abrasions. The greatest difficulty lay in getting the injured man from the skiing grounds to the station, which occupied four hours, the country being rough and mountainous. An excursion train was delayed for 80 minutes to await the arrival of the rescue party.
My lire was admitted to hospital bore. His condition is satisfactory.
