Bluff to-day, Dunedin to-morrow, works Ontnarn and Timaru oil Wednesday, Lyttelton on Thursday, thence Wellington. The steamer is due at Gisborne, via Napier, about Tuesday or Wednesday ol next week.
The Titoki (Captain Wahlstrom) is expected to leave Westport to-day with coal for Gisborne and should arrive here ihout Thursday.
The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ikingitiki is expected to arrive at Tokomarn Day front Auckland about Saturday next to 1 load wool lor London. The Cukeko commences loading at Portland to-day for Coast bays. G«sborhe'and Napier. Tlie vessel will he dispatched from Auckland to-morrow night and should arrive here on Thursday. The Awahoti loads at Lyttelton to-day for \yaikoku|ni, Gisborne, ainj the Coast, and at Wellington to-morrow for Napier and Gisborne. She is expected to arrive at this port op Friday next and after discharge and loading returns to Wei linglon. '1 ne Koulnmii loads at Wellington tomorrow for Nnpier. The Margaret yv. will he dispatched from Auckland to-morrow night for Tokomani Bay, Tolaga Bay anil Gisborne. Site is to discharge and load here on Thursday and if weather conditions permit- will take wool to Napier. It is understood that the Soviet Government lids granted 2f1.C00.0G0 roubles for a new programme of ship construction, which provides for the building ol 33 vessels, ranging from river barges to sea-going tankers and timber earners. Tn'addition, a grant of 66 million roubles has been made For tjie purpose of reconditioning the existing Soviet merchant fleet Of this latter amount, 24 millions will he spent ini refitting 154 vessels of 98,400 tons, while the remainder of the money will be devoted to covering tlie cost (if ol'dinarv repairs to a further 1761 vessels of 1,837,275 tons.
