VICTORY FOR RICHARDSON SYDNEY. Nov. 4. V. S. Richardson, after his recordhveaking first round of 68, led all the wav to win the golf championship of New South Wales with a total of 284 at Concord on Saturday. Results were: Richardson, 68—72, 70—74—284. J. Ferrier (title holder), 72 73—70—287; T. Herd, 72-71, 73 71—287; D. Spence, 75-71, 72—74 292; J. Patterson, 74—73, 73—76 —296; W. RclgiT, 73-75, 77-72-297.
COMPROMISE REACHED
AMERICANS' EXHIBITION MELBOURNE, Nov. 4. , A compromise was reached in tho golf dispute, KirWood and Karaaen abanaining their exhibition ganie on Saturday in favor of one on Sunday. ; The players are to be allowed to compete in the Centenary championships.
