The life of various wealthy Americans in Paris is being shown up in a lurid light by the evidence in the case in which Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt, widow of the late Reginald Vanderbilt, is seeking to retain tho custody of her 10-year-old daughter. At one stage to-day, the -testimony was of such a nature that the press representatives were excluded from the court, The child’s aunt, Mrs. Harry Payne Whitney, wishes to exercise permanent, control of her, alleging that the mother’s open association with Prince liohcnlohe in Paris was bad for the girl. A nurse said that very often Mrs. Vanderbilt was out all night.. That was her mode of life.
