girl allowed to marry BRISBANE, Oct. 1. An unusual case was heard at Pomona Police Court to-day, when Miss Ethel Hears, 18, applied for permission to wed L. Mugford, a local resident. Tlie girl’s father, who refused permission for her to marry, appeared in court and continued his objection on the grounds that his daughter was too young and that he did not. regard Mugford as a suitable husband for her. After hearing the evidence tho police magistrate made an order for the applicant to marry.
