A PERFECT LEG?
BREEDING OF MUTTON ENG LIBII EXPERIMENTS (Elec. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Received October 15, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Oct, 14. The animal breeding station at Cambridge University School of Agriculture is importing a ram from Connecticut which is destined to be the father of perfect producers of legs of mutton. The progenitor of the ram was a shortlegged sport thrown up in Norway by chance, and belonging to a breed similar to the Cheviots. One of these rams was sent to Storrs’ agricultural station, Connecticut, which commenced breeding short-legged creatures which tlie Cambridge school decided to mate with Suffolk cross ewes and thus produce perfect legs of mutton—succulent, tender, short, thick legs, with little knuckle.
