LONDON, Oct. 14. A New Zealand artist, Mr. Alan Brown, with a Miss Holland, set. out to climb the Snowden range. They were descending the mountain in the darkness and heavy rain, when Mr. Brown fell over a precipice 50ft. high and fractured bis ankle. He was forced to remain in the gully until dawn, when lie was discovered by a re cue party.
