A meeting of the executive of the Matawai-Motu R.&A. was held in the Matawai Garage. Present: Messrs. N. G. Harding, An Hie chair, F. Boilerby, A. Bulst, H. C. Boys, G. O. Donovan, A. Wright, T. J. Foster, and A. Pritchard. An apology was received from Mr. C. A. Davidson* As a result of numerous, -requests, the meeting .deei4od-~to t Av datic o at Motu on August 31, the Motu members of the executive-being appointed to make all arrangements'. Several calls for relief were dealt .with. At tho Matnwai backet.ball court on Thursday, Matawai defeated Home* brook by 12 Up <s* v Miss L. Innis refereed the game. . - , T_ Much interest is' being taken m the 1 forthcoming Rugby football match between. the Waikoliu sub-union and the Motu sub-union for tho Black ana "White Shield. The game will be played iu MataWhi on Saturday.
