FRENCH BAR COMPLAINS PARIS. July 24. Painted Portias, despite, the austerity of their black robes, are so disturbing the peace of mind of the Bar that the law courts’ authorities have been requested to make stricter regulations, judges and elderly barristers complain of the exaggerated use of powder-puff md lipstick. Painted fingernails, they say. are out of place in a court of justice. and the women barristers wear too many heads and bracelets. Tile climax eamo when a judge noticed that a blonde pleading before him was the same girl as one week before had ippeared as a brunette.
