EMPIRE AIR SERViOE LOGICAL DEVELOPMENT (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. In the logical course of events, the Imperial Airways mail and passenger service -would be extended to New Zealand, said Mr S. A. Dismore, secretary of the eoih^ n y. * n &n Sut’eiView to-day. Such an extension, he added, would probably require a subsidy or mail contract. Mr Dismore also said that the Singaporc-Brisbane service would be opened in time for Christmas niMls this year. Only mails would be carried for the first three months. The pdssenger fare froni England to Brisbane wopld he £BOO. The trip would take 14 days. The tendency would be fOr the fare to be reduced. l'he fare . from London to Pans baa fallen from %£l single ih 1919, to £7 12s returh.
