INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY
INTERNATIONAL UNION CONFERENCE OPENED (British Official Wireless.) Roc. 10 a.m. RUGBY, May 2. Nearly 60 nations were represented at a preliminary meeting in London of the conference of the International Union for the Protection of Industrial Property. A plenary session of the conference will take place in the Locarno room of the Foreign Office.
The last conference of the kind was held in 1025, and this is the first occasion on which the union has met in London. The subjects to be discussed are important, highly technical matters .•elating to the protection of patent rights, designs, trade marks, and other kindred matters coming within the scope of the union.
Sir F. Leith-Ross heads the British le legation.
