INCREASE IN RATE
TREASURY BILL ISSUE (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 10 a.m. RUGBY, Feb. 24. A total of £67,820,000 was applied for in tenders for Treasury bills. The amount allotted in bills at three mouths was the maximum of £35,000,000. The average rate per cent, was 17s 2.92 d, compared with 16s 5.52 d last week. The maximum amount of bills to be issued next week is £40,000,000.
