Foil,' Government Whip in the Australian Federal Parliament, who arrived in Christchurch from the north. "It is a remarkable country,” he told a Sun reporter. “It reminds mo of the beauties of the south of England and the south of Germany rolled into one. Also, I’ve never seen a country where there is such a large proportion of good farming land, and I’ve been in most.”
